You sweet, tender, immortal fifteen
Caught up in wonderful delusions
Fearlessly staring life in the face
Facing your future without remorse
Do not sleep away your innocents
Age will slip quietly through your door
You will awaken to find yourself
Longing for all your youthful passions
I’m loving these personal pieces Jerry, you are truly blessed. Thank you

Not at all I could read posts about people’s lives all day. When we first chatted I seem to recall you mentioned your home town & the Missouri floods for example, something I never knew about.

Yes, my town was actually wiped out by a flood in 1951 and rebuilt. In 1993 disaster struck again and the government bought out the area. The created a wetland river overflow area, so now when the river gets too high it will flood the entire area.

True words, Jerry! And the converse is also true. If you have great memories of youth, then you can really enjoy old age.

Thanks. That is my oldest granddaughter. I just wanted her to know that it’s ok to enjoy her life as it is and not be molded into someone she will regret.
