You are not the tears you shed
At the loss of childhood dreams
You are not the pain that led
To the sound of piercing screams
You are not the reason why
You had to face the world alone
You’re not the words they let fly
And turned your heart to stone
I know it is hard to comprehend
A future full and bright
But Just reach out and take his hand
And God will make it right
Jerry, you do write poetry beautiful. This time you take up a very traumatic subject. Many in this situation are scarred in the heart for life.
Loving family, friend and confidence in your own ability to build, create and take your place in society will help.
My heart goes out to all who suffered

This touches me deeply…to my heart and soul…it soothes my wounds and scars a lot. Not sure they will ever completely heal. 😦
Thank you, Jerry. Your wisdom and compassion are needed. Keep writing.
