I know this may not sound like a great accomplishment to some of my friends out there who have published thousands of posts and have posted every day for 10 years or more. My hat is tipped to you for your great achievements.
I started this blog site on May 11th 2017 and for those first 6 months I was as content as a writer could be. I quickly gathered 500 followers within the first four months and I was on top of the world. But life just kept coming up with ways of pushing me in some other direction. So, on 3/7/2018, I published post # 188. I did not push the button for post #189 until 12/31/2018. I wasn’t sick or hurt. I just got busy with other things. It started off simple enough. I missed a few days here and there, then it was a few weeks and before I knew it, months had passed until eventually I left all together. But the entire time I was gone, I missed it…a lot.
So as part of my New Year’s resolution I pledged to return to the blogging world. I set a challenge for myself to post for 100 days straight just to prove to myself that I could be a serious blogger. I failed, but not by much. I managed to produce content in 89 days of those first 4 months.
Now, I know that it isn’t about the number of times you post but the quality of those posts. But I needed to know if I had the fortitude to put in the work. So I started over again and today…drum roll please…marks my 100th consecutive day of at least one post.
I want to give my many thanks to you, my friends for sticking with me. I hope I have at least given you a few moments of enjoyment along the way.
Well done Jerry.

You’re not just “producing content.” You’re a storyteller sharing insights and wisdom, and giving us food for thought… and a few laughs. Your words make us turn our focus inward to see how we measure up without being preachy or judgmental.
Any author would pay handsomely to have that gift.
Congrats to you, my friend. Looking forward to the next 100 days. 🙂

I am chomping at the bit to retire and still have 8-10 years… Ugh!

My wife still wants to work for 4 more years. I can barely wait so we can enjoy it together.

Congrats, Jerry! 🙂
I’m so glad you are blogging again and we reconnected on here! I always enjoy reading what you write!
I cannot blog daily, but I try for once a week. I have enough to say to write a blog every day…just don’t have the time each day.
We all need blogging breaks from time to time, too. So other bloggers do understand that and go with our flow. 🙂
Now, on to your next 100!!! 🙂
HUGS!!! 🙂

You mean other than trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up? I am shooting for another 100 days and I would like to hit 1000 followers by the end of the year.
