I don’t remember my grandfather but my mother said that it always amused her that her straight laced father in English Surrey suburbia loved reading Zane Grey novels.

There is something about the western frontier that sparks a person’s imagination. You could always tell if a man was a good guy or a bad guy by the hat he wore.

I certainly wouldn’t want to. But if I had to choose I guess I would take the one on my skin. Back in the old days, didn’t they call the ones on their cheeks ‘beauty marks’.

Maybe the birds could take care of the moles and then go have some BC pie! 😉 😀
I have relatives that read Zane Grey, Louis L’Amour, and Elmore Leonard.
Correct me if I’m wrong…but I’m sure your upbringing was like mine…even tho’ children were plentiful, and money was scarce, we were taught how to behave…and we learned to make-do and be appreciative for what we had. I remember we were NOT allowed to go into anyone’s home (not even a relative) and even ask for a glass of water. My mom expected us to wait until something was offered to us. 🙂
HUGS!!!

You got it right. We didn’t even speak unless asked to by our elders, and we better say please and thank you.
