Weekly Fortune Cookie — It is a good day to have a good day…

Each new morning is totally up to us. We can choose to let the day win or choose to win the day.

I woke up late this morning because someone had turned off the alarm clock. I crawled out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom to do my business and lo and behold, someone had used the last of the toilet paper. After digging out a new roll and leaving it on the sink because I didn’t have time to replace it, I jumped into the shower. A quick wash and rinse and I would be ready to go. But alas, that same person had taken my towel and put it in the laundry last night. So I scurried down the hall to the linen closet, trying my best to not drip water all over to retrieve another one.  I quickly dried off and ran back into the bedroom to get dressed. I yelled at my wife to get up because she would be late for work. She rolled over and in a very sarcastic grunt told me, “Dumb ass, your retired and don’t have a job anymore and I don’t have to be at work for two more hours.”

So yes, it is going to be a very good day.

Weekly Fortune Cookie…“At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.”

When loves gives us a call, we have to answer the door.  Part of that love it seems is the need to pour our souls out onto paper.

Is it because we are so inspired by the feeling we have that we can’t resist it? Or, as I believe,  is it the fact that we know our partner is going to goo goo ga ga over each and every word. Because love is also blind and deaf.

So go ahead, write away, even if it’s:

Gretchen, your so fetchen

Debbie, you aint heavy

Jim, you’re so slim

Girl, you make my heart twirl

Trust me on this one… they’re going to love it.
